  ProfessionalAfter many successful years in the food business, Mr. Cook founded, in 1983, Cook Family Foods, Ltd (Lincoln, NE) specializing in smoked hams. By 1988 he had built the business to in excess of $200 million in sales per year. The Company's multi-location operations were characterized by state-of-the-art production techniques, world-class product development and quality control, and a focus on customer satisfaction previously unheard of in the industry. Products were distributed throughout North America, and were and still are today, the only branded, nationally distributed product in its category. The company merged with ConAgra, Inc. (Omaha, NE) in 1988 and Mr. Cook continued with ConAgra for several years before resigning to become more active in other aspects of the food business. Cruising During all of these years, Mr. Cook has remained an avid sailor. He and his family have cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean, Florida and the Chesapeake Bay. Although the adventures of their exotic destinations still spurn many incredible memories and lure them to far away places, it is the time spent on the Chesapeake that has truly captured their "family spirit". The Cook family has become so fond of the area surrounding Maryland's Eastern Shore, that they have now made a home in Oxford, Maryland, to take full advantage of the natural beauty and the many maritime activities and resources. On a very personal level, Mr. Cook is no stranger to the world of building custom and semi-customs yachts. Having been through the building and commissioning of his own semi-custom yacht, "Cookie", Mr. Cook has come to fully appreciate what a yacht customer expects… and should receive.
